Assessing personal infection risk

;

We cannot stop this pandemic if we don't know who is infected," stated Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General, World Health Organisation (WHO).

We spoke to Sedicii, an identity platform that provides authentication and identity verification services where personal information is never exchanged without the explicit consent of the data owner. They've recently unveiled their new COVID-19 risk assessment solution, COVIDRA.

COVIDRA uses the location history of a mobile device in order to identify areas of coronavirus infection so that individuals have an easy-to-use means of assessing their personal risk of infection and can do so in a privacy-compliant way.

Using COVIDRA, a person's connectivity history to the MNO cell tower network can be retrieved and cross referenced with other's movements without their personal data ever leaving the MNO so personal privacy can be preserved; a score will then be computed to enable an assessment of infection risk.
