Tim holds a PhD in economics and is a monetization expert with almost 20 years experience in the payment industry.

Tim started his career in consulting focusing on payment, banking and asset management topics. After several years in this space, Tim joined Wirecard in the issuing department where he was responsible for the post-acquisition integration of Citi bank´s global prepaid card portfolio but also for the standard issuing product offering.

Tim joined Volkswagen Group in 2018. At Audi Business Innovation – a subsidiary and innovation lab of Audi AG - Tim was responsible for the global payment and accounting strategy of Audi´s mobility offering ‘Audi on demand’.

In his current role at Volkswagen Group Tim is responsible for developing monetization solutions for various use cases of all Volkswagen Group brands on a global scale: from payment integrations and orchestration, to accounting services as well as fraud and KYC services.

Tim has been a speaker at Money20/20 US in 2023 on the topic of ‘The Innovation Behind the Car as a Payment Instrument’
