Dr. Tim Watson is Chief Product Officer at Corpay Cross-Border Solutions, where he leads global product strategy across an integrated platform connecting cross-border payments, alternative banking (including crypto), and FX risk management solutions.

With more than 15 years of experience in the FX and payments industry, Tim has built and scaled customer-focused, technology-driven financial platforms serving global corporates, financial institutions and private capital markets.

Prior to Corpay, he was Chief Technology Officer at Global Reach Group in the UK, where he led the development of cross-border payments and risk management solutions, supporting the company’s growth and subsequent acquisition by Corpay.

Previously, Tim led Technology and Product at WorldFirst in the UK, where he launched one of the first commercial alternative banking platforms for e-commerce and corporate customers and played a key role in the customer and product integration following its acquisition by Ant Financial.

Tim’s career has spanned the evolution of modern payments — from core infrastructure and liquidity architecture to building scalable digital banking and cross-border platforms that power today’s global payments ecosystem. He holds a PhD in Computational Chemistry and lives in Toronto, Canada with his family.
