Biography
Osama Bedier is a technologist, entrepreneur, and investor who has spent his career building foundational platforms that redefine how commerce works at global scale. He has helped create and scale multiple billion-dollar businesses by pairing deep engineering with a clear vision for where technology is headed.
Osama founded Google Wallet, introducing a new paradigm for NFC-enabled phones that reimagined checkout and aimed to replace physical cards and keys. For nearly a decade prior, he played a pivotal role in helping PayPal become a household name during its formative hypergrowth years and held senior leadership roles at eBay, helping optimize the model for online marketplaces. He later founded Poynt, creator of the world’s first smart payment terminal, which was acquired by GoDaddy and became a cornerstone of its commerce strategy.
An engineer at heart, Osama is driven by a belief that technology’s highest purpose is enabling trust and value at scale. Today, he advises and invests in companies shaping the future of fintech, AI, and platform ecosystems, and has been an investment partner at NYCA Partners for over 12 years. He is also active in philanthropy focused on expanding opportunity through technology.
