Murtaza Ali is the CEO of JazzCash, Pakistan’s leading digital financial services provider, serving over 57 million customers. JazzCash is a subsidiary of VEON Group, a global digital operator delivering digital services across five emerging markets.

Murtaza has held senior leadership roles in digital finance and telecommunications since 2009 and has served on the boards of multiple organizations. With more than 25 years of experience across financial services and telecom, his background includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, business strategy, and finance operations. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the International Association of Money Transfer Networks (IAMTN), as the first and only Pakistani member, and is a member of the Forbes Finance Council.

Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Telenor Microfinance Bank, where he led its merger with ANT Financial, scaled the loan and deposit portfolio, and led the digital transformation of the customer journey. He is committed to expanding access to digital financial services across Pakistan, with a focus on youth, women, MSMEs, freelancers, and the unbanked.
