Kara leads the Financial Services team at Sam’s Club, where she oversees the award-winning Sam’s Club credit card program. She and her team are responsible for deepening relationships with members and accelerating growth through strategic financial services.

Kara spent nearly a decade in Treasury and Payment Acceptance roles, working across credit cards, debit cards, and the closed-loop stored value platform. During this time, she supported all company segments and led programs spanning payment strategy, innovation, negotiation, vendor management, technology, product and program management.

Before relocating to Bentonville, Kara worked at RaceTrac Petroleum and Radiant Systems (now part of NCR) in Atlanta. Kara earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and completed the Executive Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Arkansas. She has been recognized five times through American Banker’s Most Influential Women in Payments.
