Annie Guo is the founder of Silkpay, a French fintech company helping merchants accept cross-border mobile payments, making the customer experience smoother for international shoppers. The idea came to her during a trip to China, where she saw how mobile wallets had replaced cash—even taxi drivers refused physical money. Seeing the gap in payment convenience for Chinese tourists abroad, she decided to act.

Originally from Beijing, Annie moved to Paris in 2001. She studied at HEC Paris and completed an MBA at the University of North Carolina. She then spent eight years in M&A at JPMorgan and HSBC in London and Hong Kong before launching Silkpay in 2016.

Her work has earned multiple awards, including the Capgemini ‘What’s Next’ Award (2019), the LVMH Innovation Award (2019), and two BPCE prizes for Best B2B Startup and Internationalization. She was also nominated for the MPE Startup Innovation Award (2020) and won the ‘Start You Up’ Award from August Debouzy the same year.
