Session Information

Rachel covers financial regulation and fintech for The Wall Street Journal. She has reported on the financial services industry for a decade at various publications.

Before joining the Journal, Rachel covered the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for American Banker. She wrote two widely read series: one on unequal employee pay at the CFPB, and the other on the agency's internal and external battles over its investigation of auto lenders. Both series sparked lengthy congressional inquiries.

Rachel has won a number of journalism awards for her coverage of banking and insurance in Florida, and has received national recognition for her CFPB coverage.
