Rachel is a Venezuelan native and a Mathematics MIT grad with a passion for finance and technology and is currently the co-founder and CEO of Trigger Finance. After graduating MIT and having worked at Lehman Brothers and JPMorgan through the crisis, Rachel spent the next 5 years as an algorithmic trader and emerging markets expert at JPMorgan. While at JPMorgan she led the etrading efforts for emerging market currencies, breaking records for billions of traded volume each day in client volume. In 2015 while on sabbatical, Rachel pursued a Masters in Computer Science from Cornell Tech. After completing her Master’s, she co-founded Trigger, with Cornell University as her first investor. Trigger is a platform that delivers the pulse of financial activity through simple ‘if this then that’ statements called triggers. On their mobile platform, Trigger has thousands of users creating triggers on top of their existing brokerage accounts, and is opening up the platform for business and developers to leverage Trigger’s technology.
