Session Information

Matt Taylor is Group President, Integrated Payments and Emerging Channels at Vantiv, Inc. (NYSE:VNTV), a leading provider of payment processing services and related technology solutions for merchants and financial institutions of all sizes. In this role, Taylor has direct responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the company’s Integrated Payments business as well as Payment Facilitators (PayFacs) and the fast-growing Gaming and Entertainment line of business.

Taylor joined Vantiv in June 2014 as President of Integrated Payments, when the company made its largest acquisition, acquiring Mercury Payment Systems for $1.65 billion dollars. Vantiv processed approximately 20.1 billion transactions in 2014, representing more than $726 billion dollars in sales volume. The company is the largest PIN debit processor and the second largest merchant acquirer in the United States.

Prior to joining Vantiv, Taylor was Chief Executive Officer of Mercury where he led an aggressive growth strategy focused on increasing the company’s distribution footprint and product offerings. The company’s product portfolio expanded beyond core credit card processing services to include a diverse set of value-added services including security, gift, rewards and mobile integrations. During Taylor’s tenure as CEO, revenues and earnings more than tripled, and the company earned numerous accolades from industry associations, including the Retail Solutions Providers Association Top Vendor Award for five consecutive years, Business Solutions Magazine’s Best Channel Vendor for six consecutive years, Outside Magazine’s Best Places to Work and a Top 5 Companies to Work for in Colorado award.

Part of Taylor’s vision for Mercury was to develop a strong and diverse presence in philanthropic activities. In 2011, he led the formation of MercuryGives, an organization developed to coordinate volunteer efforts and charitable giving of Mercury’s employees. Since inception, corporate charitable contributions and Mercury employees volunteer hours have contributed more than $1 million in donations to Colorado nonprofits.

Prior to becoming CEO, Taylor served as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mercury, from 2003 to 2009. Working with the company’s founders, Taylor led the development of the company’s distribution model and go-to-market strategy. During this timeframe, Mercury established itself as a leader in integrated point-of-sale solutions, developing partnerships with thousands of POS solutions providers in the marketplace.

Taylor is a member of the Colorado Innovation Network (COIN) board of directors, consisting of industry and academic leaders across the state of Colorado. He is also a 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner.

Taylor graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College (FLC) in Durango, Colorado. He received the FLC President’s Distinguished Alumni award in 2011.
