Session Information

Jimmy Dinh is a business strategy & corporate development executive leading financial services innovation at CIBC World Markets – the wholesale and investment banking arm of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. In this capacity, Jimmy is building and leading a team to envision, design, build and manage the P&L for a new breed of Capital Markets products focused on: FX, Payments, Money Movement and "The Future Of Money". The Alternate Solutions Group is accountable to drive profitable growth for CIBC's Wholesale bank by getting to market new products that converge Capital Markets assets & platforms, massively scaled out distribution channels and digital technology innovation.

Jimmy brings over 15 years of corporate strategy, product management and strategic business development experience within the intersecting ecosystems of mobile, digital commerce, emerging payments, and banking innovation. 

Prior to his current role, Jimmy has served in multiple senior leadership roles within dynamic organizations focused on emerging commerce and payments innovation. As Loblaw’s (PC Bank) Head of Mobile Payments & Digital Commerce Strategy, he was accountable for and led the strategic development, incubation and commercialization of device-based payments and commerce innovation initiatives for Canada’s largest retailer. As CIBC’s (Retail & Business Banking) Senior Director – Mobile Strategy & Planning, he led business unit strategy development and overall P&L ownership of all customer facing Mobile and innovation properties for the retail bank including: Mobile Banking, Mobile Brokerage, and Mobile Payments. At MasterCard Inc., Jimmy led product strategy and strategic partnership development in Canada focused on NFC, P2P and online payments as the network’s Director of Mobile Payments & E-Commerce. Jimmy has also been extensively involved in developing Mobile Money solutions with mobile network operators in emerging and un-banked markets globally. 

Jimmy received a Bachelor's degree (B.Eng) in Computer Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He is also a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business – University of Western Ontario, where he received a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA).
