Session Information

The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) is a global trade association with over 5,000 members in 65 countries, representing ATM and payments professionals from a broad cross-section of the industry.  This includes ATM operators and manufacturers, financial institutions, payment processors, service providers, networks, and a variety of technology companies.

As Executive Director, USA and LATAM, David is responsible for leading ATMIA’s largest Region.  He is actively involved in all ATMIA working committees and works closely with member leaders to determine and guide advocacy and issue involvement for each region.  Serving as a voice for the ATM industry, he also participates in the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force, the EMV Migration Forum, and other industry groups.

David has a long history in the payments industry.  He helped introduce Legal Amount Recognition (LAR) of cursive handwriting to the check processing industry, as well as neural-net-based payment fraud detection.  He has held a variety of senior level roles in business development, sales, and marketing with software solutions and technology providers over the past 20+ years.  Prior to joining ATMIA, David worked for a major ATM manufacturer and was responsible for the launch of a new business unit, which provided imaged deposit processing services to banks and credit unions.
