Session Information

David currently serves as Head of Strategic Card Programs and Shared Services. His dual mandate includes responsibility for leading TD Bank’s Nordstrom and Target portfolios. In addition, David is responsible for leading the shared services organization including card operations, business development, transformation & governance. Prior to his current role, David was head of the Mass Affluent segment at TD Bank, USA for TD’s U.S. Bank. He was responsible for delivering investment services and other products to TD’s U.S. Mass Affluent Customers.

David joined TD Bank Group in 2007 as EVP, Marketing Director and subsequently became EVP of Corporate Strategy for TD Bank.

David began his career with Loblaw Companies Ltd., Canada’s largest retailer. While at Loblaw, David drove its expansion into financial services, leading its successful banking joint venture, President’s Choice (PC) Financial. He also chartered PC Bank, one of the first retailer owned banks in Canada, specifically designed to enter the credit card and loyalty program markets. Under David’s leadership, PC Financial and PC Bank grew to offering banking, mortgage, credit card and insurance products, becoming an important profit contributor to Loblaw Companies.

David has a Bachelors Degree of Commerce from McMaster University and an executive MBA from the joint program between Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the Schulich School of Business at York University.
