Chris Moloney is CAN Capital’s Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Product, where he leads all marketing, product, pricing, research, business development/sales, and digital initiatives for the firm. Moloney joined CAN Capital in 2016 and is based in the Atlanta operations headquarters.  Having led marketing as the CMO for three major brands –Experian, Scottrade  and Wells Fargo Advisors, – Moloney is a big believer in the power of marketing to drive dramatic business growth. His expertise is in driving companies to be highly successful in their digital and social media initiatives with measurable results and re-shaping brands to expand into a more direct, customer-driven business model.

Over the past 10 years as a CMO, Moloney has overseen nearly $1 billion in media, advertising and marketing budgets during periods of record growth for each of the companies for which he has worked. In 2011, the integrated marketing campaign he led for Experian was recognized with a “Grand Midas Award” for Best Financial Services Marketing Campaign. During Moloney’s tenure as CMO at Wells Fargo, Advisors, the firm became the #1 ranked investment firm in the U.S. for social media. His team was recognized in 2014 for digital innovation with a 2014 Gramercy Institute Award for “Best Financial Services Marketing Strategy” in the U.S.

Moloney is an avid writer and speaker on digital innovation and served as the keynote speaker at the iMedia Summit in Tokyo in 2013 and Australia in 2015. He is honored to have had his digital marketing work recently profiled in the book “Taking Down Goliath: Digital Marketing Strategies for Beating Your Competitors,” which was released by Palgrave Macmillan Publishing. Author Kevin Ryan called Moloney “The Digital CMO.” Prior to joining CAN, Moloney was CEO of GREMLN, a leading social media and digital marketing company focused on helping financial services firms maximize their digital marketing programs.
