Chonchol Gupta is a globally recognized financial innovator; business-funding expert; trusted consultant to both foreign and domestic governments; and advisor to public and private financial institutions. 

Chonchol serves as Vice Consul, and Trade and Investment Officer for The U.K.’s Department for International Trade- the British Government’s international business development agency. He is charged with transatlantic trade development between the UK and the Southeast US, for companies within the Finance, Professional, and Business Services sectors. Chonchol is the U.K. government’s liaison to executives in companies ranging from small high-growth Fintech startups, to some of the world’s largest companies located in the Southeast.

Chonchol is the founder of Rebirth Financial, Inc.- America’s first peer-to-business lending platform. Since 2010, the company has been recognized as one of the most important alternative financial innovations in America, and was called “An Idea to Change the US Finance System” by the Federal Reserve Bank. As a pioneering fintech firm, Rebirth Financial also created an alternative credit scoring algorithm that was recognized as one of the top innovations of 2012 at Finovate.

He has been an invited VIP Speaker at White House sponsored Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Morocco, and has served as a knowledge expert to multiple national governments; multi-government institutions including the Inter-American Development Bank; and is a recurring speaker at American university business and engineering schools. Chonchol also serves as an Honorary Ambassador to the Nation of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency; and is the former host of the radio talk show “Entrepreneur Happy Hour.”

Chonchol earned his MBA, Master of Global Management Degree, and Certificate in Latin American Business Studies from Tulane University, where he also served as President of the Graduate Business Council. He also holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University, and a B.A. in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine.
