Session Information

Andy Schmidt, principal executive advisor with CEB, offers a multi-dimensional perspective on the financial services industry. A seasoned industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, Andy’s expertise includes payment hubs and payments convergence, mobile payments, and anti-money laundering, and he has been interviewed by news outlets ranging from The Wall Street Journal and USA Today to NPR and TechCrunch.

Andy joined CEB after nearly four years as a senior manager in the firm’s Specialized Advisory Group, where he focused on the payments industry. Andy has also held positions with Ernst & Young and @stake, Inc., an information security consulting firm. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade in financial services, working at Fleet and BankBoston (now Bank of America), earning valuable experience in operations, loan recovery and commercial lending.

Originally from Chicago, Andy graduated magna cum laude with an M.B.A. from Babson College in Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Arts in government from Colby College in Maine. He now lives in New England with his wife and daughter.
