Melissa Koide, CEO & Director, FinRegLabs

Melissa Koide is the CEO of FinRegLab, a financial services research organization that examines how technology and data can help address regulatory requirements and lead to a more efficient and inclusive financial marketplace. FinRegLab provides an independent platform for dialogue and research among financial sector stakeholders and policymakers. FinRegLab is completing an experiment evaluating whether cash flow data can accurately assess the credit worthiness of individuals and small businesses who have insufficient credit histories or a complete lack of a credit record. Prior to establishing FinRegLab, Melissa served as the U.S. Treasury Department's Deputy Assistant Secretary for Consumer Policy. Before that, she was the Vice President of Policy at the Center for Financial Services Innovation. Melissa is currently Vice Chair for the Milken Institute’s Fintech Advisory Council.
